We were upset with all the waste in the gift card industry. Every year, nearly 20% of the value on gift cards goes unspent, leaving billions of dollars locked up in gift cards that weren't wanted. Sure, you could try to sell the card off on eBay or another exchange, but why should you have to?
AvantCard was started to help givers ensure their recipients always get exactly the right gift cards. We make everyday gift cards exchangeable, so recipients can trade them out for a different store without losing any of the face value.
What We Do
Whether you're about to buy a gift card or you've already bought one, we can make it into an AvantCard with a simple registration process. When you register your cards with us, we guarantee recipients can trade for any supported gift card at no charge to the recipient.
We think exchanging a gift card should be hassle-free and actually make people happier about their gift. With AvantCard, your recipient won't have to wish you had given cash instead.
Who We Are
We're four guys who were a little fed up with holding onto stacks of gift cards we're never going to use. So in May 2011, we started AvantCard to show the world that there could be a better way.
